At the Multicultural Pavilion...
Great time at the Solano County Fair!
The Intertribal Council was very excited to be a part of the Multi Cultural Pavilion this year at the Solano County Fair in Vallejo from July 31-Aug 4, 2013. We were very excited to be asked again this year, as last year we were unable to participate. We had a booth for distributing information about our past 18 years as an active organization, as well as information on the new site of our 2014 19th Anniversary Pow Wow. More info on that will be forthcoming.
In the first photo are the volunteers who staffed the booth on the first day: Midge Wagner, Sec/Treas., E.J. Fisher, Eric StrongBear Fisher, Chair, Mary Ann Buggs, Board member, and Gary ShortBull Estes. The second photo shows Alijah Reid on the last day. Volunteers not shown are: Julie Shepard, her friend, Maria, Katrina Wauer, Jennifer Meredith, Benjamin Buggs, Mason Fisher, and David Fisher.
We had a wonderful time and were warmly welcomed by all. We want to thank the Solano County Fair officials, and other employees for welcoming us, especially Tom. The other Cultural Organizations were very courteous and helpful, as well. We are looking forward to participating again next year. Thanks to all who stopped by to wish us well.
